Tunnel Scaffolding
Tunnel Scaffolding consists of the same components as the standard Tube & Fitting Scaffolding. Tunnel scaffold is normally used in construction work under the absence of sufficient headroom or where congested areas constrain its use.
They are often made up of two standard ‘A’ frames with a horizontal beam supported between and equal to or less than 3 metres apart that would support the scaffold. Tunnel Scaffolding is often used in the construction industry, on earthworks and on steep slopes where there is no ground headroom available for traditional scaffolds. Tunnel Scaffolding consists of the same components as the standard Tube & Fitting Scaffolding. Project Overview
The Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel passes through Dalian Bay on the Yellow Sea side, connecting Dalian Donggang Business District and Diamond Bay. The total length of the tunnel is 5.1 kilometers, including 3.04 kilometers of immersed pipe section, 1.8 kilometers of land section, and 0.3 kilometers of connecting roads. Design two-way 6 lanes, and the design service life of the main structure is 100 years.
Difficulty
1.The maximum thickness of the roof of the tunnel structure reaches 1900mm, the construction load is relatively large, and the requirements for the support system are relatively high;
2.The tunnel structure is more complicated. The A/B/C package tunnel structure has various cross-sections, and the scaffolding is more challenging;
3.Due to the tight construction period, it is necessary to adopt the form of mobile formwork. However, the selection of the entire formwork support system and the structure of the mobile caster system are relatively high, and the design system is quite complicated.
Solution
After research and analysis by the engineering technical team, it was finally decided to adopt a mobile caster system, combined with the strong bearing capacity of the disc buckle scaffold, and designed a new mobile formwork bracket system, which perfectly solves the problem that the scaffold can be quickly turned over without disassembling the frame.
The advanced design concept of the mobile formwork system has greatly shortened the construction period in the use of the Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel. If it takes 2 months for the traditional formwork support to be dismantled and turned over, then the mobile formwork system developed by us will start from the erection It only takes 15 days to move to the formwork support.
It not only solves the requirement of tunnel 1900mm plate thickness super large load support, but also achieves the purpose of the first formwork system to move efficiently in domestic tunnels. Time cost and economic cost have also been “double reduced”.
