The Work at Height Regulations 2005 state that unless a scaffold is assembled to a generally recognized standard configuration, it must be designed by a competent person. This ensures that the scaffold will be strong and stable enough to be used safely.<\/p><p>Scaffolders and scaffold users must always wear their PPE, there should be a first aid kit available, and signages should be posted showing the current status of work (for example, warning notices and status tags). The site must be kept in a safe condition when work is not actively going on.
